Over the past few months I've kind of lost my blogging 'mojo'. It always happens when my routine changes - I fall out of sync and all the great posts I had planned are forgotten. SO.. as I try and get back into the swing of things I thought I would do some posts about the blogs that keep me inspired, even when I'm not posting. This is the first of a set; lifestyle, fashion and beauty, books.
Audrey, who runs Frassy, is the definition of "girl crush". Not only does she have a visually beautiful blog, Audrey is super funny, clever and really speaks her mind. I've followed Frassy for a long time now and always really liked the content, especially the fabulous photography - but recently, as I've come to want more in a blogger, I've fallen in love with this blog. All the posts, even if they're based around an outfit, are spectacularly written and really thought provoking. Audrey knows exactly who she is and not one part of her cares what people think of that - which I think is ah-mazing!! Frassy has just added a feature, #frassyhome, which will fuel all your jealousy when you see how stunning Audrey's new home is. Add Audrey on Snapchat (audreyleighton) for the cutest snaps of her dog, Biba, and keep up-to-date with what she's up to. Follow her on Bloglovin', Twitter and Instagram too.
This family-orientated blog features Naomi and her family, husband Josh and children, Eleanor, Samson and Conrad. I genuinely enjoy reading Naomi's blog and hearing what they have all been up to, its one of the only ones that I will go out of my way to catch up on! To me, Naomi really inspires on how to handle motherhood beautifully, especially as someone who shares so much of their life online. Naomi chooses to post the happy and positives things that happen around her family, but in now way does she pretend that they don't have bad days or grumpy toddlers which is refreshing. Some of my favourite posts are definitely the Eleanorisms and Samsonisms, where you can read some of the typically hilarious things that the little ones come out with. Having followed LoveTaza for a good few years now, its great to watch this lovely family grow and continue to love life in the Big Apple. You can follow Naomi on Snapchat (love.taza), Bloglovin', Twitter and Instagram (Josh's instagram is here too).
I actually haven't been following CGD for that long but for the time I have, I've been loving it so much. Its the perfect place to go to when I need some inspiration or a little pick me up, especially when I'm feeling like I'm in a bit of a funk with blogging, uni or my career choices - its so nice to know that a) I'm not the only one b) there's light at the end of the tunnel. There are updates multiple time a day and I'm constantly checking in to see if there's anything new I can jump into. The only thing about CGD that I would love to be different would be to learn about the amazing girls behind the blog - there's so many of them and it would be great to get to know them all a little better! This is the perfect blog for you if you want to know how to 'Build a Killer Career Plan' amongst other things. Follow them on Bloglovin', Twitter and Instagram.
I probably shouldn't admit how long it took me to realise that Kate's surname wasn't Lavie. Not kidding. Kate's blog is an absolute dreeeeam! Literally every time I visit Kate's blog I fall in love, her lifestyle and interior posts are some of the best around - any time I need a bit of inspiration with home ware, she is always the first person I look to because I know that I'll find exactly what I'm looking for. I remember this blog being one of the first that I seriously followed when I started blogging myself and really aspiring to live up to the same level that Kate does. You can find anything you like on Kate La Vie, from making festive cocktails to sensitive skin care - its all there! Follow Kate on Bloglovin', Twitter and Instagram to keep up with all that she's up to.
I've followed Emily's blog for a few years now and I continue to adore it just as much as I always have. This blog is a prime example of turning a hobby/past-time into a career for both her and husband, Geoffrey - making Cupcakes and Cashmere into a stunning brand which includes a blog, books (with number two just released) and Emily has even designed her own collection with Nordstorm. Its such a pleasure watching the brand grow and now with the addition of baby Sloan, there is a whole new side of Cupcakes and Cashmere to be explored. Emily has everything on her blog, from home-made holiday recipes to DIY stationary - something for everyone! You can add Emily on Snapchat (e.schuman), follow her on Bloglovn', Twitter and Instagram.
So there you have it - my top five lifestyle bloggers. There are so many amazing bloggers out there who I follow but these are the ones I check up on daily or when I need some inspiration. There will be two more posts on this series of top 5, fashion and beauty and books, so make sure and check back for those!
Let me know who your favourite lifestyle bloggers are and if you're a lifestyle blogger, leave your site and details below because I would love to have a look at all your blogs.
As ever, thanks for reading!
